Hi, I’m Chris Szekely and I’m the owner of Szekely Guitar Repair. I’ve been a guitarist for more than 40 years and was fortunate enough to make a living at it for 10 of those years. During that time I started doing my own guitar repairs because I was never satisfied with the work I was paying pros to do. I got good at it. So much so that I decided to go back to school for guitar repair and open up my own full-time shop. I graduated from Southeast Guitar Repair Academy in Buford, GA as a certified luthier and opened Szekely Guitar Repair in Trafford, PA (just east of Pittsburgh) where I serve the Southwestern, PA region by offering full-service professional luthiery for acoustic and electric guitars, basses, mandolins, banjos, ukuleles … just about any stringed instrument. From setups and electronics to repairs and restorations, I can get your prized instrument playing, sounding and feeling like new or better … but most importantly, just how YOU like it.
